  • Depression? Anxiety? Relationship Troubles?

Your Positive Change Can Start With a Walk in the park!

Walk and talk therapy, is also known as walking therapy or outdoor therapy, I offer this form of psychotherapy where the therapist and client conduct their session while walking outdoors. This approach combines traditional talk therapy with physical activity in a natural setting.

Instead of sitting in a traditional therapy office, the client and therapist engage in a walking conversation, usually in a park, garden, or other outdoor environment.
  • Why Walk and Talk therapy?

The concept behind walk and talk therapy is based on the idea that physical movement can have positive effects on mental and emotional well-being. The outdoor setting may contribute to a more relaxed and open atmosphere, making it easier for individuals to express themselves and explore their thoughts and feelings. The gentile physical activity involved in walking can also be beneficial, as exercise is known to have positive effects on mood and overall mental health.

My clients who have tried walk-and-talk therapy have really enjoyed the freedom of movement and the relaxing atmosphere of being outdoors. We walk at a steady slow pace and take breaks at a park bench when needed. If you are quite fit, we can speed things up a bit.
